As one Proverb Goes “Give a fish to a man, and feed him for a day but teach a man how to fish, you will have given him / her an opportunity that will feed him / her for Generations”
A Chinese proverb
VCDF in its program of Community Livelihood Support believe to this proverb, whereby we have given Support to the Various Community Members to earn for Self-Reliance and below are Some of the Projects Supported .
Agricultural Support

Under the Agricultural Sector we have been able to Support Farmers by Donating to them Spraying Cans to help them prevent and Control Crop Pests and Diseases.

VCDF Uganda carries out Beneficiary Evaluation to Ascertain the progress and the status of the Items that were supplied to them, below are the caption from some farmers

In Addition to that VCDF has also distributed Cows in order to improve the Cattle breeds in the Community to Improve Productivity and Resistance to Pests, Diseases and Climatic Conditions.

VCDF Uganda has also Supported the Piggery projects in the Community which in turn has improved the Household Income within a short Period of time. Providing Pigs to farmers and training them on how to shelter, feed and the possible methods of prevention and Control of their Diseases have really yielded better results.

Then Also on improving on the Crop Production in the Community, VCDF has trained farmers on better crop Production Methods and also provided them with Seedlings for some crops in order to improve Crop Productivity.

VCDF Uganda went ahead to Support some Vulnerable Groups in the Community in terms of meeting their basic Needs of Life, This was specifically Non-Children groups in the Community majorly the Elderly, Widows and the Lame. This Program has breathed much hope in the hearts of the beneficiaries.

Future Plans
VCDF plans to enhance harmonious Living in the Community by tackling some challenges in the Water and Sanitation Sector, it has come to our notice that most Villages Kagadi Sub-County lack Safe and reliable Sources of water to feed the growing Population, they are mostly sharing water sources with animals in competition and most of them are non protected, or Disappear during the dry Season
For this Reason VCDF Uganda plans to Construct Boreholes and Protected Springs to improve the safety and reliability of the water.
