Life Comes with Different Adversities, That End up Forcing some Conditions, which comes with Burdens to face, But being an Orphan is one of the Life Conditions that falls on totally the Innocent Young Ones, Being Parentless comes with other Difficulties, Like Homelessness, Poor Standards of living, Lack of Parental care, Anxiety since these young Ones cannot easily handle the situation of Stress. They End up being traumatized, with affects their Emotional and Psychological Faculties.
VCDF is Committed to provide a helping hand to these Children to make them attain the basic needs of Life, Basic Education and Reasonable Companionship.
VCDF has tackled this issue through Different Approaches but the main one being Starting a School called “Uganda Christian Based Nursery and primary School” located in Kagadi Sub-County, Kagadi District.
The School is Committed to Providing Free Education to the Orphans through the Help of Different Stakeholders mostly House Church members, Well wishers and donation from the Friends.
VCDF has gone ahead and singled out the most Vulnerable Children in the Community and Provided them with Specific help that Suit their needs in order to improve their Attitudes towards Life and enhance their abilities to take part in Daily Life Activities these include the Physically Impaired Children.
Apart from Schooling. VCDF has further supported the Orphans in other Government Aided Schools with Scholastic materials, Food and other Sanitary Materials like Pads to reduce the Stigmatism among the young girls.
With the above benefiting there is still a big number of Children left without basic needs like clothing, food, education and medical care.
Future Plans
VCDF plans to have the following in the near Future.
- Construction of Two Multi-Classroom Blocks, sheltering Administration and Dormitories for Upper primary Classes.
- Have a safe water Source near the School premises.
- Increase the numbers of Orphans under care from 300 to 700 Pupils.
- Start a Vocation School to help train the Pupils hands on Skills for Self reliance and Job Creation.
Among but all in All VCDF Believes that Community Participation is the root of Community Development.
